Legislation Programme for Autumn Session 2016

Government Chief Whip Regina Doherty has announced the Legislation Programme for the Current Session.

Releasing the programme, the Chief Whip said:

In our second Government Legislative Programme, since taking office in May 2016, we are setting out the priorities that the new Partnership Government will seek to progress through the Oireachtas between now and the end of 2016.

These priorities are guided by the commitments set out in the “Programme for a Partnership Government.

As a minority Government we will continue to work with all those elected to the Dáil and Seanad, Government T.D.s and Senators as well as Opposition T.D.s and Senators, to make progress on legislation across a range of issues.

In this Dáil term the Government proposes to bring 20 Bills to Oireachtas Committees to undergo Pre-Legislative Scrutiny.
