Taoiseach launches Ireland Week

Taoiseach Leo Varadkar today launched Ireland Week, a trade and cultural showcase due to take place in Los Angeles this October.
The centre piece of the initiative is a two day conference, ‘Connect 353’, which will feature panel discussions on key areas of interest in the region. There will also be a programme of cultural events and performances throughout the week which will showcase Ireland's creativity to the world.
The initiative is supported from across Government by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Consulate in San Francisco, the Irish Film Board, IDA Ireland, Enterprise Ireland, Tourism Ireland, Culture Ireland and Creative Ireland.

Launching Ireland Week, the Taoiseach said:
The Government is very happy to lend support to Ireland Week and the Connect 353conference in Los Angeles this October. There is significant potential for growing trade & economic links between Ireland and the Los Angeles region. This initiative should help our agencies to promote Ireland as an attractive location for trade and investment.
