Objectives
- To introduce a logical, step-by-step approach to gathering, analysing and documenting business planning information, using the Local Enterprise Office South Dublin Business Plan template
- To set a deadline for completing business plan within the time period of the course and monitoring participant commitment to meet self-imposed targets
- To provide additional skills and support beyond material typically covered on a Start Your Own Business course.
- To create a support network within the participant group and mentor relationship with the course tutors
- To give participants feedback on their completed business plans before submitting their funding request or application
- To provide SME business owners with understanding of why business plans fail to attract investment
