Global Startup Gathering comes to Cork this November

Cork is set to play host to the Global Startup Gathering this coming November with three action-packed days of events planned for entrepreneurs and startups. Events will take place from 18th - 20th November and will include debate and discussions, pitches, workshops, immersion labs, networking opportunities and expert mentoring.

The Gathering will also feature the Global Investor Challenge, giving investor ready entrepreneurs the opportunity to compete, with €50,000 prize fund up for grabs. The Global Investor Challenge is being run by Cork BIC

Driven by Cork Innovates and Startup Ireland, the initiative aims to attract hundreds of international and national business people, entrepreneurs and those thinking of starting up across a number of sectors from biotech to food, manufacturing, ehealth, nutrition and technology.

The Global Startup Gathering follows on from Startup Gathering 2015 which took place across the country last year, and engaged over 18,000 individuals across 22 counties in five days.

As if the the Gathering wasn’t enough, Cork will also play host to The Startup Nations Summit in November, the very first time the summit is to be held in Europe. International delegates from over 80 countries will come together including startup community builders, policy makers and advisors.
