THE ISSUE of sanctions against Iran will be considered by European Foreign Ministers in Brussels today. Europe Minister Dick Roche is this morning in the city for a meeting of the General Affairs Council as well as the meeting of the Foreign Affairs Ministers.

At the General Affairs Council, Iceland’s application to join the EU will be considered along with other issues, including the setting up of an European External Action Service (EEAS).
At the later meeting of the Foreign Affairs Ministers; sanctions against Iran will be discussed as well as matters related to Sudan and Kosovo.
