Taoiseach Enda Kenny and Jobs Minister Richard Bruton  today announced that Squarespace, the leading all-in-one website publishing platform, plans to establish its EMEA Headquarters in Dublin along with the creation of 100 new jobs.

Based in New York City, Squarespace  allows anyone to easily create professional blogs, web pages, stores, and galleries without touching a line of code. The completely inclusive, all-in-one service provides hosting, content management, domain names, social integrations, e-commerce, and 24-hour customer support.

Making the announcement, Taoiseach Enda Kenny said,

The decision by Squarespace to base its headquarters in Dublin is a signal of Ireland’s growing reputation as the Internet capital of Europe. This means great opportunities for our bright, highly-skilled workforce, and the Government is working to attract further investment through our Action Plan for Jobs.

Minister Bruton remarked.

Squarespace is a highly innovative company and a leader in its field, and today’s announcement is great news for the city and the sector.

Anthony Casalena, Founder and CEO of Squarespace said:

We chose Dublin as our first location outside of New York City over many others in Europe. Dublin offers us a friendly, young, and talented workforce in a vibrant center city location. It’s the perfect choice for Squarespace.

Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland, said:

Three years ago IDA Ireland formed a division specifically tasked with finding high-growth companies such as Squarespace, whose products make world-class web design accessible to anyone in an easy-to-use package.
