365 new jobs announced for Dublin

IT company Version 1 today announced 365 new jobs for Dublin.

Speaking at the announcement the Taoiseach said:

Not only has the company secured a major investment deal worth €90 million with the UK-based Volpi Capital, but will create an impressive 365 jobs over the next 3 years. The ambition and drive of Version 1 is to be commended. Your continuing expansion in Ireland is a vote of confidence in the strength of the country’s business environment, and its deep pool of highly skilled people supported by its strong education system.We have worked tirelessly to create the right conditions for high skilled companies like yours.

Chief Executive Tom O'Connor said:

There will be 100 jobs coming on stream immediately with another 265 over the next 18 months to 2 years. As part of this we'll be taking on 60 graduates and there will be a range of positions ranging across seniority levels in project management, systems integration, cloud computing, data analytics and enterprise resource planning.

Version 1 was founded in Dublin in 1996 and has now an 865 workforce across the UK and Ireland as well as offices in Dublin, Belfast, Cork Edinburgh, Manchester and London.
