Taoiseach Enda Kenny today launched the Irish Cancer Society's 27th Daffodil Day

.

Daffodil Day is Ireland's longest running fundraising day, and all funds raised on the day will be used to fund the Society’s free nationwide care, information and support services for people with cancer and their families.

You can be part of Daffodil Day by:

  • Buying a daffodil or Daffodil Day merchandise on Daffodil Day from a street seller
  • Making a donation by phone, CallSave 1850 60 60 60
  • Making a secure donation online, go to www.cancer.ie
  • Texting Daff to 50300 to donate €4 now! (100% of your €4 goes to the Irish Cancer Society across most networks. Some providers apply Vat where a minimum of €3.26 cent will go to the Society. Service provided by LikeCharity (01-4433890).)
  • Buying Daffodil Day merchandise from our online shop www.cancer.ie/shop
  • Or you could even join the ‘selfie’ craze, and take a ‘daffie’: a picture of you with your daffodil, and post it online texting Daff to 50300 to donate €4

A ‘Garden of Hope’, bearing messages of remembrance and hope for those lost-to or fighting cancer, will be planted in the Iveagh Gardens, Dublin on Daffodil Day,  supported by Dell. Thousands of daffodils with messages of hope and remembrance sent from people across the country will form a garden and the public are invited to come to along on Daffodil Day and plant their message.
