Varadkar welcomes Ryder Cup to Government Buildings

Tourism & Sport Minister Leo Varadkar and Minister of State Michael Ring today welcomed Paul McGinley, the first ever Irish Captain of the European team for the Ryder Cup, to Government Buildings.

McGinley was announcing his first two Vice-Captains for the team.

Speaking at the press conference, the Minister said:

Ireland has a very rich history of players competing in the Ryder cup and its a great honour to have an Irishman as captain for the very first time. I know that Paul McGinley is going to do a fantastic job and I’m also delighted that he’s making this important announcement here in Dublin.
