2016 Flag Raising Ceremony
An event to mark the start of the State Ceremonial Programme in 2016 took place in Dublin Castle today.
The Ceremony, which was attended by Taoiseach Enda Kenny, Tánaiste Joan Burton and Arts Minister Heather Humphreys, comprised two key elements - the reading by the Defence Forces of the Roll of Honour of those volunteers who lost their lives during the 1916 Rising, followed by a Flag Raising Ceremony.
