The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine is reminding farmers and advisors that the deadline to submit all Nitrates records in relation to movements of organic manures (online, formerly Record 3 Form),temporary movement of animals (Record 4 Form) and short-term rental grazing agreements Record 5 Forms is 31st December 2021.

Please be advised that all exports of organic manures should now be submitted and verified online. The functionality to have agents act on behalf of pig producers is also now available. Authorisation forms are available on www.agfood.ie, and can be accessed here: https://www.gov.ie/en/service/department-of-agriculture-and-foods-online-services/#agfood-agentagency-forms

However, in the case of pig and poultry manure, certain partnership cases, where the exporter/importer is deceased, the importer does not have a herd number; paper records will be accepted before the deadline of 31st December. This also applies to:

• Record 4 Forms – Temporary Movement of Animals
• Record 5 Forms – Short Term Rental Grazing Agreements.

Please note all on-line declarations must be verified (accepted) by the importer by this date also.
