Minister Donohoe welcomes the publication of his department's new Statement of Strategy 2023-2025

The new Statement of Strategy 2023-2025 of the Department of Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform has been published today. Building on the Department’s record since its establishment in 2011, the Statement of Strategy sets out the strategic direction for the Department between now and 2025.     The Department’s new mission is to drive the delivery of better public services, living standards and infrastructure for the people of Ireland.     The Minister for Public Expenditure, National Development Plan Delivery and Reform, Paschal Donohoe, T.D., said:

“I welcome this new strategy and look forward to working with the Minister of State Smyth and the staff of the Department to deliver on the ambitious range of actions to be implemented between now and 2025.  I believe that the three strategic goals – enhancing governance; building capacity; and delivering effectively – are really important in terms of ensuring that the Department continues to make a major contribution at the centre of government”.     Ossian Smyth, T.D., the Minister of State with responsibility for Public Procurement and eGovernment at the Department has also welcomed the new strategy. He stated that:

“The strategy clearly reflects the important role of the procurement reform and digital government programmes in our efforts to improve and deliver effective and efficient services for the people of Ireland and I strongly endorse the new mission of the Department accordingly”.
