Minister McGrath appoints new Chair of the National Treasury Management Agency

The Minister for Finance, Michael McGrath T.D. has today (Tuesday), announced the appointment of Ms. Rachael Ingle as the next Chair of the National Treasury Management Agency (NTMA) in succession to Ms. Susan Webb whose term will end on 22 December 2023. Ms. Ingle has been a member of the NTMA’s Board since 2019 and her first term as a Board member will expire on 22 December 2024.

Commenting on the appointment of a new Chair, Minister McGrath said:

“Rachael Ingle will bring a wealth of experience to the role of Chair both from her extensive professional background and as a member of the NTMA since 2019. I wish her Rachael success during her term as Chair.

Rachael succeeds Susan Webb who has done an excellent job in steering the NTMA, since taking up the Chair role in 2022. I’d also like to thank her for her significant contribution and commitment to the Board since its establishment in 2014. I am certain that Susan will continue to make a significant contribution in any future opportunities that she pursues”.

(Outgoing) NTMA Chairperson, Susan Webb, added:

“I welcome the announcement by the Minister for Finance today of the appointment of Rachael Ingle as the next NTMA Chair. Rachael is well placed to make a valuable contribution to the Agency over the term of her appointment”.

Rachael Ingle is CEO of Aon in Ireland, Head of Nordics subregion and Head of Wealth Solutions EMEA. She is an actuary by profession and a member of Aon’s global Executive Leadership Team, EMEA Leadership team and the Global Inclusive Leadership Council. Rachael is also a former Chairperson of the Irish Association of Pension Funds.
