Minister of State Chambers reminds licensed haulage businesses of deadline for the Licensed Haulage Support Scheme 2023

Minister of State Jack Chambers with special responsibility for International and Road Transport and Logistics, has today reminded licensed road haulage operators to submit their applications for the Licensed Haulage Support Scheme 2023. The closing date is midnight on Wednesday 31 May 2023. The Licensed Haulage Support Scheme 2023 is to assist licensed haulage businesses with cost pressures. It covers eligible heavy goods vehicles authorised on the licence of a current road haulage operator as of 15 December 2022. Payments per vehicle are calculated based on €1,200 for the first 5 vehicles on a licence; €700 for vehicles 6 to 20; and €200 for each vehicle thereafter. An invitation to apply for the Scheme was issued to all licensed haulage businesses using the email address associated with the operator license on 23 March 2023, including detailed instructions on how to apply for the Scheme.

Minister of State Chambers with special responsibility for International and Road Transport and Logistics commented:

“I urge all licensed road haulage operators to examine the terms and conditions of the Scheme, and to submit their applications in good time in advance of the 31 May deadline. I would encourage all operators to make best use of available Government supports.”
